About Tiemann Investment Advisors, LLC

JTBedford3Dr. Jonathan Tiemann and Valerie Gardner co-founded Tiemann Investment Advisors, LLC in 2002 to meet the need by private investors for the kind of academically-informed investment management service that institutions benefit from.  When the internet bubble collapsed in 2001, a large percentage of high tech entrepreneurs and other wealthy investors found themselves with portfolios that were substantially deflated as result of poor diversification, virtually no structure and excessive leverage.  Most of those painful losses could have been avoided had these individuals been properly advised, rather than being prodded by brokers to load up with one tech IPO after another.  Tiemann and Gardner combined forces to create a technology-enabled firm that could provide successful individuals and families with the highest-caliber investment management service—while enabling these investors to interact with the actual expert managing their portfolio—and do this at a low, competitive price.

Tiemann Investment Advisors has grown organically through word of mouth and the forging of strategic partnerships with other investment advisors who are looking to associate themselves with an investment expert, while establishing a succession pathway for their eventual retirement.
