LINKEDIN JOB POSTINGS ARE ALL SPAM – BEWARE HACKERS AT WORK

To answer the question so many are asking, “No, that is not a legitimate job posting from Tiemann Investment Advisors.” No, we do not use the domain tiahiringdesk.org, and this was created to SPAM those who respond to these job posts.  

We are very sorry to have to post this here but someone is spamming on LinkedIn, claiming to be Tiemann Investment Advisors and using our company name (but apparently not our logo) to post a lot of different jobs. None of these are listed on our business LinkedIn page or our website “Career” page and these are not real jobs we have available or are hiring for.

Apologies but, as soon as we heard about this problem, we attempted to contact LinkedIn. There is almost no way to connect with a real person at LinkedIn. We have submitted several of these job posts as problems, and attempted to get LinkedIn to eliminate this fraudulent activity but so far, they are not doing anything about it.

If you are able, please submit a report about the job posting as “spam.”  This doesn’t quite cover how pervasive this spammer’s activity is, but on the report problem widget, there wasn’t an opportunity to give details. LinkedIn has declined to respond because the spammer is not infringing our logo copyright.

However, it is likely, if you clicked on their link to do an interview, you got what appears to be a bad link, and now the spammer may be hacking into your computer. We have no idea what they are doing but you may want to follow the protections that are described in the link below, so they cannot take over your computer. Be sure to close out all open tabs, so they cannot access any open sessions using password tokens that were already furnished by you. Especially if you have recently logged into your financial institution’s account.
